Options for personal data
All visitors have the option to examine, change, or delete all personal information available to us at that time.
We store the following data to enable us to sell you our products, record all connected activities, receive payments and deliver you orders:
– Address details
– Telephone number (optional)
– Order and invoice history
Various laws stipulate specific retention periods that need to be adhered to when processing certain personal data. These are called legal obligations to retain records and stipulate a minimum retention period. Data resulting from a fiscal obligation to retain records are those of the debtors’ ledger (once you have placed an order with us, you become an AF-X Systems debtor). These data must be retained for seven years. Every company has the legal obligation to retain its records for this period of time.
To enable us to offer guarantees, we will need to store data such as address details that are linked to the date of purchase (Order, invoice history, payments).
Since we sell fire safety products and consider quality of the utmost importance, we even store those data indefinitely: we need to keep monitoring and testing our products’ quality over time. Therefore, should changing product specifications give us cause, we may need to have to get in touch with you beyond the products’ technical life (15 years).
Special and/or sensitive personal data we process
AF-X Systems does not have the intention to gather data about people under the age of 16, unless with a parent’s or guardian’s permission. However, we cannot check a visitor’s age. We therefore recommend that parents are involved in their children’s online activities, so that no data about children will be collected without parental consent. Should you be convinced that we have collected data about a minor without parental consent, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will delete the information.
